Manhart makes the BMW X6 M Competition even fatter

BMW professional Manhart takes on the X6 M Competition. The result is called the MHX6 700, delivers 730 hp and has almost more forged carbon than a Lamborghini Huracán Performante.

Whether you like them or not: Big SUV coupés like the BMW X6 M Competition impress with massive power and sheer presence. The desire for more is not lacking in this class either, which is why tuner Manhart offers a comprehensive conversion program for the X6 M Competition. As the MHX6 700, the chunk delivers significantly more horsepower and a body kit made of forged carbon.

105 hp more power than the series

Manhart increases the output of the 4.4-liter biturbo V8 either via an additional control unit or by intervening in the standard engine control unit. No matter which way you choose, the result is 730 hp (plus 105 hp) and 900 Nm of torque (plus 150 Nm). The tuning also includes a sports exhaust system, which blows the exhaust gases out of four 100 millimeter tailpipes. The tailpipes are either ceramic-coated or encased in carbon. For export markets there are still race downpipes and replacement tubes for the OPF, but both without TÜV.

Performance braking system optional

Incidentally, Manhart does not specify any mileage. However, the 2.4-ton vehicle should definitely accelerate faster than the standard 3.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. The top speed of 250 km/h (290 km/h with M Driver’s Package) remains the same. For more deceleration power, Manhart also offers an upgrade of the brake system. The cornering dynamics benefit from H&R springs, which lower the MHX6 700 by 30 millimeters all around.

Forged carbon without end

10x5x22-inch Y-spoke rims, covered with 295/30 tires, rotate in the wheel arches. Manhart refines the body with a body kit consisting of a front apron, side skirts, diffuser, rear apron attachments and a two-piece rear spoiler. There are also decorative panels for the side mirror caps and the kidney grille. The parts are made of forged carbon, which Lamborghini first introduced with the Sesto Elemento and brought to lavish completion on the Huracán Performante.

There’s also plenty of carbon in the interior

In view of the forged carbon mass on the MHX6 700, the over-Lambo fades a bit. Because in the interior of the BMW it continues seamlessly, here too Manhart uses masses of the short-fibre lightweight material. Even the steering wheel spokes and shift paddles are made of it. New floor mats – not made of carbon – round off the interior refinement.
